Tuition & Fees

Total Cost Reduced This Year!

The total tuition+fees cost has been reduced this year.  There are only eight monthly tuition payments instead of nine, and the costume/performance fee for most classes has been reduced, so the total is lower.

 The Studio Director online management system has allowed us to reduce administrative costs, so we are able to pass these savings on to our ballet families.  

Monthly payment is ONLY accepted on The Studio Director web site (http://www.thestudiodirector.com/korpiballet/register.jsp).

No checks or cash unless you are paying all fees in advance for the entire semester. This must be arranged with Mrs. Korpi by emailing director@korpiballet.com


Registration Fee

The annual registration fee is $25 per student.  This fee is non-refundable.

Tuition

The annual tuition varies according to the length of the class and is divided into eight equal monthly payments.

  • 30 min. class, $45/month ($360 total)
  • 45 min. class, $50/month ($400 total)
  • 60 min. class, $55/month ($440 total)
  • 90 min. class, $65/month ($520 total)

Tuition payments are due on the first day of each month, September through April.

Students may take more than one class.  With each additional class, the monthly tuition payment increases as follows:

  • 30 min. class: $25/month
  • 45 min. class: $30/month
  • 60 min. class: $35/month
  • 90 min. class: $45/month

Costumes and Performance Fee

The combined costume and performance fee for the school year varies according to the class length and is divided into eight equal monthly payments.  

  • 30 min. class: $29.50/month ($236 total)
  • 45 min. class: $29.50/month ($236total)
  • 60 min. class: $31.50/month ($252 total)
  • 90 min. class: $31.50/month ($252 total)

Costume/performance fee payments are due on the 15th of the month, September through April.  

There are two Christmas performances Sat. and Sun., November 5th and 6th, 2011 at the Waco Convention Center in conjunction with the Junior League Christmas Bazaar.

There are two Spring performances Sat. May 5th, one at 10:00 AM and one at 5:00 PM which will be held at Waco Hall on the Baylor University Campus.

Your costumes and performances fee covers costumes for the Christmas and Spring shows, 2 tickets per family for the Christmas show, and unlimited tickets per family for the Spring show.  Additional tickets for the Christmas show can be purchased from the Junior League at the door.  Fees are not refundable.

Our Dance School Year

Classes for the 2011-2012 dance year begin on Monday, August 22, 2010 and end with the Spring Performance on Saturday, May 5, 2012.  There are no classes during Thanksgiving weekend, Christmas break, and Spring break.

The dance year is similar to the school year and consists of a guaranteed minimum of 28 weekly classes.  There are several extra weeks/classes built into the schedule to allow for occasional missed days due to weather, school in-service days, and so on, which vary from school to school.

 There are no “make up” classes scheduled for missed classes except in the unlikely event that there are so many cancellations during one dance year that the 28 class minimum would not be met.  There are no refunds or pro-rated tuition for missed classes.  Cancellation of a student’s registration requires two weeks notice.

Tuition Discounts

Advance Payment

There is a 10% tuition discount for those who choose to pay all tuition plus fees for the semester in advance.  (The 10% discount applies only to tuition, not to the fees.)

Siblings

There is a 25% tuition discount for siblings of current students. Discount is calculated for the younger sibling.

Boys

There is a 50% tuition discount for male students.

Class Size

Maximum class size is 20 students.  Minimum class size is four students. Classes with fewer than four students may be cancelled.

Late Payments

Tuition or installment payments are due on the first day of the month.  Persons who have not paid their current balance due ten (10) days after the due date will incur a service fee of $5.00, and their credit card, debit card, or checking account will be charged for the amount due.

Returned Checks

There is a $30.00 charge for checks returned by the bank.
